Measure first, then decide
We measure your power use, assess grid reliability, build financial models and produce feasibility studies that banks and funders accept. Clients include GIZ, UNICEF, UNHCR, SNV and Heifer International.

We measure before we recommend, every time.
Most solar quotes are based on guesswork. We log your actual power use for one to four weeks, check how often the grid fails and build a financial model on your real numbers, so our reports hold up in front of your board, your bank and development finance institutions.

We take the risk out of your energy decision in four ways.
Energy Audits & Assessments
We measure your power use and grid failures for one to four weeks, so the system is sized to what really happens on your site.

Before any system is specified, we record how much power your site uses through the day (a load profile) and how reliable your grid is. This usually means one to four weeks of measured data rather than a single site visit, and we log how often the grid actually fails. The result is a system sized to your real consumption.
- One to four weeks of measured data
- Real grid-failure frequency logged
- System sized to actual consumption
Feasibility & Financial Modelling
We work out payback and return on your measured power use, in a form that satisfies both your board and a development-bank reviewer.

We model the payback period, the return on the investment (IRR and NPV) and the cost of each unit of power over the life of the system (LCOE), using your measured load data instead of assumed figures. The reports are written so that your board, your bank and development finance institutions can all review the same numbers. We have used this approach on studies for GIZ, UNICEF and Heifer International, among others.
- Built on measured load, not assumptions
- Board-ready and bank-ready
- Proven with GIZ, UNICEF, Heifer

Project Support & Owner's Engineer
We act as your independent engineer through tendering and construction, and keep the installing contractor accountable to the original design.

When you buy a system from another contractor but want independent technical oversight, we act as your owner's engineer, the engineer on your side of the table. We review the tender documents, evaluate the bids and supervise the site through to commissioning, which keeps the installing contractor accountable to the original design.
- Tender review and bid evaluation
- Site supervision to commissioning
- Contractor held to the design
Strategic, Policy & Resilience Advisory
We help operations and institutions with many sites plan secure power and energy policy across the whole programme.

We advise operations and institutions that manage more than one location on keeping their power secure and on energy policy. Our work includes eco-industrial park development models with GIZ and UIA-Mbale, and country-wide feasibility studies such as the National Water and Sewerage Corporation's (NWSC) roadmap for solar-powered boreholes. It suits clients who plan across a whole programme of sites rather than a single building.
- Multi-site and programme planning
- Policy and resilience roadmaps
- Proven on GIZ and NWSC programmes
We measure, model and report.
Every engagement follows the same path, so the recommendation you get is grounded in your own data and ready for whoever needs to approve it.
Measure
We log your actual power use and grid reliability over one to four weeks on site.
Model
We build the financial case on those real numbers: payback, IRR, NPV and LCOE.
Report
You get a bankable document structured for your board, your bank and development funders.
